This is an old style control panel. It can be identified by the red and black keypad and the extra buttons for the knife jog, feed jog and reset.
A view of the back side of the control panel shows the 4 pin din connector. This is where the cutting head control cable plugs in. Only the sychronous drive (constant Speed) cutters had this style of connector.
Inside of the control panel shows the motherboard and power supply and the interface card.
The white object in the forground is the firmware EPROM.
After unplugging the keypad ribbon connector from the interface card. The control box can be opened all the way. Now you can see the wiring nightmare.
